Career builders 3 steps to success
Success! This is what everybody is seeking in their lives, profession, careers. You would often wonder about the magic touch that successful people apply in their endeavors whether this is a job or a business. A little research would tell you that most people who make success an integral part of their lives do have a secret: their priority number one is themselves. The real career builders are not those who get the best employment opportunity, but those who create the jobs they want for themselves. What is that, you would ask? How do go about self-employment? This is not easy; but what great achievement ever comes easy? There is no better way to succeed in life.
Self-employment is the real answer to serious career builders. There are of course, many ways to earn a living. Most people are convinced that landing a highly sought after job is the greatest thing that can happen to you professionally. This is true, if serving others throughout your life does not bother you too much; if you are planning to use your life to build someone else’s dreams and empire; if you are happy going through your life using your talents and education to earn one fraction of what you are really worth. While reading this, a question would pop up in your mind, “what other way is there?”. There is a choice and this conscious choice is the one that could fulfill all your dreams. Three steps separate you from it:
1. Dream big - as a student everyone dreams of a fancy designation and huge pay packet, which would propel their career to unimaginable heights. It is true most outstanding students end up making their mark in some or other company as the best or the most brilliant CEO, Vice President, President of a company. And then what? You retire one day, and you are faced with the truth that you are just a excellent ‘has-been’. Don’t you want to stay on the top forever? For this you need to dream big - you need to be your own well-wisher, not others. As real career builders, you need to look beyond the cushy job the opportunity you could build for yourself.
2. Be self-assured - business is not everyone’s cup of tea, true. Not everyone is Bill Gates or Henry Ford. You need to look within you and ask yourself whether the best you could do is spend your life to promote others - no matter how good your ‘masters’ would be - or you understand what real career builders means and carve a niche for yourself by being your own boss? Look beyond the comfort of a posh organization job, count upon your education and write your own future with only one tool: self-employment.
3. Dare to fail - most opportunities are lost to people because they are afraid to fail. However, it is when you fail that you get to really learn. Take any successful person you know and count their failures. These would outnumber their achievements by at least three to one. Even so you would know them because of their success. Real career builders are not afraid to fail because failure for them are what drives them on and not stop them. When you make success your goal you need to get out from the stale comfort of a “good” job and start kick start your own enterprise. You need to focus on your success rather than others. Take this one great step and you would reach heights that you never thought existed.
It is true that not all those who are self-employed would become runaway success stories, though the potential is there. It is assured though that this would mean a lot to you - not only financially - when you work for yourself. Nothing can be better than being your own boss because it has the ability to unlock your hidden potential and turn it into real gold. It is unfortunate that the self-discovery would not happen until you take the plunge; and it takes a lot of courage to leave your job do that. This is the way career builders spell success.
